NYCSCA manages the design construction and renovations of capital projects in New York City’s more than 1,200 public school buildings, half of which were constructed before 1949.

The School Construction/Renovations program involves the construction of numerous schools as well as major additions and renovations to existing schools. These projects range from $35M to $100M. The work includes various repairs and renovations including acoustical ceilings, roofs, doors, windows, exterior masonry, and HVAC as well as small additions to existing schools.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Jois Construction Management has been providing scheduling services for five years and dozens of capital construction projects. We review baseline schedules submitted by the contractors and work closely with the Project Officers in the field to monitor progress and keep the schedule realistic and accurate. This involves site visits, attending meetings, and preparing reports related to schedule progress and schedule issues as well as analyzing delay claims submitted by the contractors. In addition to providing scheduling services, Jois Construction Management has also provided P6 implementation and training to SCA scheduling personnel.
