Camden County Health Services

(Camden, NJ)

Owner: Camden County Health Services

Project Cost: $ 28 Million

This single 200-bed facility consolidates all clinical and support services, previously spread among nine different buildings in Camden County, NJ, into one 296,000-square-foot building. It is a recognized leader in long-term and behavioral healthcare services and is among the 10 largest healthcare providers in southern New Jersey.

The facility includes 1. Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care, 2. In-Patient Rehabilitation Services, and 3. Outpatient Rehabilitation Services.

It has a. Rehabilitation Section, c. Social Services Section, d. Therapeutic Programming Section, e. Nutrition Management Section, f. On-site Pharmacy, g. Podiatry Section, h. Dental Care Section and i. Beauty/Barber Shop.

The structure is a single and double-story metal and wood frame structure with brick veneer and interior gypsum wallboard finish. The facility is spread over 10 acres of land with different housing sections and treatment areas. Each housing section (Pod) is served by a nurses’ station with the latest technological equipment for communication and emergency response. Due to the spread-out nature of the building layout, the project needed extensive MEP coordination between HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Medical gases, sprinkler, and fire protection.
